Service Saturday

Service Saturday is a direct service opportunity for all members of the Boise State community. This is Boise State’s way of providing easily accessible volunteer opportunities to the university community with the help of charitable and non-profit agencies.

RSVP for Service Saturday so that we can be sure to have enough service sites and food to go around.

Students who participate have the opportunity to:

  • Serve their community through civic engagement and public commitment
  • Meet other participants who share the same passion
  • Build leadership skills through volunteering and service
  • Enjoy a free brunch before heading out to the service site

When and where is Service Saturday?
Service Saturday takes place once a month. Time and location vary, so check the website for details.

What should I wear to Service Saturday?
Please no open-toed footwear. Dress according to the weather and the site where you’ll be volunteering. Since you will likely not know if you be volunteering inside or outside until you choose your site when you arrive, be prepared and dress comfortably for either option.

How can my community organization or non-profit agency host a Service Saturday site?
Hosting a site is easy and can include a wide range of service work for your agency or organization.

Once you register one of our staff members will be in touch with you to confirm the details of your site.

Who can I talk to about Service Saturday?
If you have any other questions stop by the Student Involvement & Leadership Center on the second floor of the Student Union Building or contact Melinda Jean Stafford at or 208.426.2877.
